About Me

- I'm a stay-at-home grandmother with five grandchildren, a daughter, three stepsons, a husband, a dog and a cat. I love Jesus, scrapbooking and the beach. In June of 2016 my husband and I retired and moved from South Florida back to Prince of Wales Island in Southeast Alaska! We're building a small homestead on 3 acres of beachfront property. It's quite a life change, but we are loving the new quiet lifestyle!
Best Parents in the World
On October 14, 2013 my mother died from cancer. She was 84 years old and had been happily married to my Dad for over 65 years! This is one of my favorite pictures of the two of them before Daddy fell and broke his hip. He spent almost 4 years in rehab and a nursing home. He died January 30, 2015 from heart disease and dementia complications. I already miss them both VERY much. But I know they're in Heaven together and are happy and healthy again...
In Honor of Zoe
My faithful companion of 14 years died of liver failure on September 18, 2008. She is VERY much missed! I thank God for the privilege of being her companion all those years.

Oh, Ginni - your little Baxter is adorable! Both DaBoys react the same way when I take them to the beach for the first time in the spring.

Oh, so funny! Poor Baxter, you know how much he hates water. He needs earplugs and blinders for the rain, what made you think that he would love the ocean?
