Frame It With Kreaxions Punches!

Today I'm sharing a page about my youngest grandson Garrett last summer.  No matter how many times his mom said “Garrett pull up your pants!” he just couldn’t keep them up!  It was one of those things that just kept presenting itself and I just HAD to take a pic and scrap it!



There was a challenge on the Turtle Soup Forum to frame something on your project.  So I created a photo frame by cutting a 5x7 piece of paper and then punched my 4 corners with Kreaxions Punch #304 with Template B.  I used the same punch with Template A around the frame and cut out the center for the photo.  I also used Kreaxions Punch #304 with no template to create the border in the middle. The beauty of this technique is that you can create a frame using ANY of the Kreaxions 4-in-1 punches!  Just think of the possibilities!!!


Then I placed the cut-away piece at the bottom.  I used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter to make all the circles.  The cream and brown papers behind the punched areas show the punched shapes off better.

Blast From the Past

Some of you may remember when the first cordless phones entered our homes.  It was so amazing and we all felt so high-tech having one!  What a monster those thing were compared to today’s phones!  LOL!  This page is an homage to those days...

I used Kreaxions Punch #304 with Template C on the photo mat corners and with Template B on the large mat corners.

Then I used a lot of October Afternoon scraps with a Fancy Pants background paper.  The pic is of me talking on our first wireless phone.  I didn’t have a “B” so I used my pens to create one from the “D”.  Other Materials – Letter Stickers – Creative Imaginations; Pens - Infinity

Happy Mother's Day and Just Imagine/Kreaxions DT Reveal!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  And if you're not a mom, I hope you enjoy your day anyway.  :) Today I have several cards to share.  First is the card I did for the Just Imagine/Kreaxions Design Team reveal.  To see the AWESOME projects the other DT members created, go to the Just Imagine Crafts Blog.

My first reveal today is a sympathy card using Kreaxions Punch #304 to create the top and bottom borders. I used some of the cut-away pieces on the inside to frame the sentiment.I used the design of the pattern to create the shape for the sentiment.  The sketch is by Bev Code for the Turtle Soup forum.


We needed another sympathy card for other members of the family who lost a loved one and this is the one I created for that purpose.  Once again I used Kreaxions Punch #304 with Template C to create the corners on this card.  The stamps are by Close to My Heart, Technique Tuesday and Creative Imaginations.  I stamped the images and sentiment, cut them out and attached them.  I used another sketch by Bev Code for the Turtle Soup forum.

Next up are my Mother's Day cards which will be late because I haven't mailed them yet.  OOPS!  :)  I used some Prima flowers, Offray ribbon, Graphic 45 papers and My Mind's Eye brads for the next two cards.  This is yet another sketch by Bev Code for the Turtle Soup forum.

On this card I used Kreaxions Punch #311 for the borders on this one.  The cutaway pieces go left to right.

This card features the Kreaxions Circle Cutter and some OLD GCD Studio papers.  The sentiment is a Close to My Heart stamp and the brads are Recollections.  And still another sketch by Bev Code for the Turtle Soup forum.

Family Ties

This month I'm featuring Kreaxions Punch #304.  I want to showcase how versatile this seemingly feminine punch is.  So my first project this month is more masculine.  The picture is my Dad on the right and one of my uncles on the left.

I used Template B on the photo mat corners, and with no template on the banners.  The cut-away pieces from the top banner are under the photo.  I used Template A to create the border on the right.  Then I used a punched piece and some paint for a stencil.  I also used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter for the 3 circles on the page. The border at the top right of the page is leftover from another project.

May 1st Winner and Blog Hop Puzzle Sketch Reveal!!

How in the world did it get to be MAY already???!!!  This year seems to be FLYING by!  It's an especially exciting time for my family because after all the bad things that have happened, something good is about to happen!  In 2 days my brother is marrying a beautiful, wonderful woman down here in Florida on the beach!  So things have been quite busy around here!  But I didn't want to miss the reveal of the winner for April's punch and circle cutter!

And now for the Turtle Soup Blog Hop Puzzle Piece Reveal!  I've never done a challenge like this!  So it was quite a different one for me but I had GREAT fun with it!  After piecing it all together, I came up with this page about the wild parrots that come to my yard every day to eat the seed I put out.  

I used my Kreaxions Circle Cutter, the Kreaxions Positioning Parts (Size 8.0 CM), Kreaxions Stencil A and Kreaxions Punch #903 to create the large circle and design.
