Tomorrow's the Big Reveal!!!

Yep! Tomorrow officially starts my next term as a Design Team member with My Sketch World! I can't WAIT to share the sketch and layout with you! Meanwhile, here's the last sneak peek at the layout... I had great fun with the Echo Park Little Boy line on this page!

Oscar Night LOs

So in between fighting off a snake in my screened porch (THANK YOU HONEY FOR RESCUING ME!), a lizard in my scrap room window, a McDonald's employee doing something really gross and AC Moore closing all the registers at once in the middle of a 3 hour sale I made two layouts today. Yep. All those things happened today. You can read all about them in my Facebook posts today. NOT a good day!
But a great day for scrappy therapy and Scrap Street's Oscar crop was just the ticket (pun intended)! Here's the two layouts I created today...
First is Garrett and some more of that LOVELY Best Creations Safari Boy line!

And second is Noah pretending to be one of the Minions from Despicable Me. FUNNY MOVIE!

Finally I want to share a SWEET pic of my mom and Garrett taken today and a pic of my dad. While I was dealing with a horrendous day, the rest of my family was enjoying a little get together in Virginia... Man I miss them all!

You'd never know he was so sick a week ago! THANK YOU GOD!!!

More Scrappy Fun!

I've been going back and re-visiting the 5th Anniversary Sketch-A-Thon sketches at My Sketch World. Today I redid one of my FAVORITE sketches (Day 18) and made this layout about a baby mockingbird last spring...

I also am enjoying the Oscar-themed challenges at Scrap Street! This one is for the poster challenge and is based on the True Grit movie poster. The pics are Noah and Brett enjoying his homemade chicken wings just before Garrett was born last September.

Only a few more days before the first reveals for My Sketch World's new Design Team! And I also have some VERY exciting news! So check back on the first of March for more scrappy fun! Meanwhile, here's a sneak peek at the March 1st MSW layout sketch... And here's a hint It's a TWO PAGE sketch!!!

Sketch-A-Thon Day 13 Revisited

I couldn't WAIT to play with my Best Creations Safari Boy prize package! So today I took the first picture of Garrett and the little card that was on his incubator. I used Kreaxions punch 604 to create the butterflies and I added some cardstock and the monkey border and a pen to create this fun page!

Oh and Dad's doing really well too. Almost back to normal! Thank You Jesus!!! And everyone who prayed or said a kind thought! :)

Thank You Cards & Best Creations Prize!!!

First off I would like to thank Best Creations for the awesome Safari Boy Collection that I won in the blog hop!!! It arrived today and I can't WAIT to play with it! Everything is soooooo pretty! It's all glittery and 3-dimensional! I have PERFECT pics for it too! Palm trees and alligators are perfect for this South Florida girl! Check them out at http://bestcreationinc.blogspot.com/

Next I would like to thank the wonderful EMTs and rescue personnel of Station 23 in Fairfax County, Virginia. They were the ones who took such awesome first care of my Dad last Saturday and who also made sure that my 82 YO mother was escorted back to the ER room where my dad was.
Finally I'd like to thank the nurses at Fairfax Hospital's CTU South department. Your awesome attention to my family means a LOT to all of us! Especially me because I live so very far away! These cards went out in the mail to them today.


And last but certainly not least, I'd like to thank God for blessing me and my family SO much! Words just cannot express how grateful we all are to God, the rescue personnel and the nurses and doctors at Fairfax Hospital! THANK YOU!!!

The Last 3 Sketches!

What a weekend I've had! My 88 YO father collapsed in the kitchen of their home Saturday just a couple of hours before he and my mom and my youngest brother were supposed to leave on a trip to come visit us. He's had a heart condition for years and thankfully that wasn't the reason for his collapse, but he hurt his knees pretty badly and is still in the hospital. He's gonna be okay but their trip has been canceled. And thankfully I don't have to make an emergency trip to Virginia! So that kind of slowed me down on my scrappy time.
But I was finally able to finish the last three sketches and still have time to go back and do some of my fav ones a second time for more points! WOOHOO! So without further adieu, here are the last three sketches and my version of them.
Day 18 was a FABULOUS layout sketch...

So I made a card for Noah's birthday next month. He LOVES SpongeBob!

Finally Day 20 was a FABULOUSLY plain layout sketch...

It was perfect for a two-pager so I reversed the elements on the left side and made this two-page layout about Molly opening her presents...

Today was a card sketch with a color challenge. I used a LOT of scraps on this one! Here's the sketch...

Sketch-A-Thon Days 15 & 16

I finally got caught up! :) I have had to set an earlier deadline for completing these sketches because I have company coming for 2 weeks on Tuesday. YAY! So I wanted to make sure I didn't have too much left to do on the weekend. :) Here's yesterday's card and today's LO sketches... Tomorrow's card sketch and challenge have already been posted and there's only 3 more left after that! But the deadline isn't till March 3 so you still have time to play!

I used a Kreaxions border punch to create an edged circle and sprayed my flowers with Glimmer Mist. The small pics were printed by Costco. I used their collage print feature and got 30 prints for $2.99! What a DEAL!!!

C'mon over and play! It's SO much FUN! :)

Imaginesce Apple Cider & Birthday Bash Projects

Awhile back the manufacturer Imaginesce had a design team call. I applied, but didn't make the team. However, I also forgot to share the projects I had made for the application! So here they are...
First I made a centerpiece for my Thanksgiving table... Here are two views of it. I cut the flowers with my Cricut and then used Stickles to jazz them up...


After our Thanksgiving dinner with friends Scotty and Karen, I made a two page layout about my centerpiece! Here's the left page...

I also used the some of the papers to create this page about Noah for a one hour sketch challenge at My Sketch World...
