Just Imagine/Kreaxions Design Team Reveal - Christmas Cheesecake

Hello!  It's definitely a busy month!  I hope all these projects are helping you complete your own holiday gifts!  Don't forget to comment so you have a chance to win the punch shown at the end of this blog post!  Today's post is for the Just Imagine/Kreaxions Design Team Reveal.  Be sure to go to the blog and check out the other DT projects!  You will LOVE them All!  I did a layout with a punched circle center.  This is a present we got from one of my husband’s brothers last year for Christmas. It was the most delicious cheesecake EVER!

I used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter, Kreaxions Punch #915 with Kreaxions Positioning Parts (small 5.6 cm) to create the punched circle. The inner circle is 6” and I used Stencil A to draw the lines to know where to punch. Then I used the cut-away pieces on the photo corners. I added bling and outlined with a couple of pens to enhance the design.

Turtle Soup December Mini Crop Challenge

Hello! It's been a very busy month (as it usually is)!  I hope you've enjoyed the Just Imagine/Kreaxions Blog Hop and the12 Days of Christmas challenges at Turtle Soup!  This is another Turtle Soup challenge.  Every month there's a mini crop with all challenges posted on the first day and 10 days to complete the challenges with prizes to win!  Today my challenge is to create a two page holiday layout!
These are pictures of two of my Grandsons (Noah and Garrett) last Christmas.  It was our very last time celebrating a holiday at the house my parents owned since February 1965.  We sold it this summer now that Mom's gone and Dad's in the nursing home and slowly fading...  So this Christmas was even more special than ever.  It's my most favorite time of the year and I LOVE everything Christmas!!!  :)

Turtle Soup's Twelve Days of Christmas - Day 10

Time for another project to share!  Only 2 more days left in this crop!  Turtle Soup's DT has done an amazing job with these fun, quick and easy last minute holiday projects!!!  You'll want to be sure to check them out at Turtle Soup.
Today I'm sharing a microwave popcorn wrapper! This is an idea I’ve had on my to do list for many years. I have NO idea where I got it from! But it’s a quick, easy, inexpensive and unique gift and a great way to use your scraps! Here’s my example. I made this in about 15 minutes!

Here’s how to make one:
First take a piece of cardstock long enough to wrap around the height of the popcorn with at least a half inch overlap and long enough to fit your popcorn in it. (Each brand of microwave popcorn is a different size so there’s no exact measurements.) Next if you’re stamping or doing other types of decorating, you’ll want to do it now. To close one end, punch a hole and tie on a length of ribbon. Then complete your decoration and insert a bag of microwave popcorn!

Turtle Soup's Twelve Days of Christmas - Day 7

I hope you've been enjoying the projects at Turtle Soup's 12  Days of Christmas challenges!  Here's the link to the forum where you can find them all - Turtle Soup.
And now for my challenge for Day 7.  We all need those holiday cards and if you're like me you have those pre-made die cut tags that you're not sure what to do with.  Well, I came up with an idea and it turned out great!  My challenge today is to make a holiday card with a tag on it!  Here's my example:

I took some old scraps and a holly die cut along with some washi tape (top and bottom borders) and some bling, a brad and some ribbon along with some red Stickles on the berries and the reindeer's nose.  And voila!  Quick, eaxy and looks like you spent a lot of time on it!  Inking the edges makes it all pop more!

Turtle Soup's Twelve Days of Christmas - Day 5

It's holiday time again!  And it's time to start making those projects if you haven't already!  I hope these projects inspire you to create your own holiday projects!!!  Scrapping Turtle's Turtle Soup Forum is hosting a Twelve Days of Christmas with lots and lots of inspiration!  I am hosting 3 projects but there are many more in the forum so be sure to check them out at Turtle Soup Forum.  You'll need to sign up to participate but there will be prizes and LOTS and LOTS of fun challenges! 
So here's my first project.  This was simple to make and is so much fun for your kids or grandkids!  The Kreaxions Circle Cutter made it much easier but you don't have to have one to make this  door hanger for my grandsons' room. 



I saw this idea on Facebook and fell in love with it! Cut two 8" cardstock circles for your bases.  Cut several 1½” cardstock circles and then cut them in half to create the scallops. You'll need enough half circles for each side of your door hanger.  Use a piece of cardboard or chipboard for your base and adhere the circle to the center. Then add the scallops to each side.  When doing the second side, you'll want them to kind of line up with the ones on the other side.  Trim as necessary.  I used washi tape to cover the seam between the scallops and the large circle. Then I used a black Sharpie to outline the scallops and cover the differences in sizes from cutting. Finally, decorate it as you wish. Don't forget to put a hole in the top and tie some ribbon or string or something so it can hang!  I also used Mod Podge to seal it because my grandsons are gonna be rough on it!

Just Imagine/Kreaxions Blog Hop!!!

Welcome to the Just Imagine/Kreaxions Joys of Christmas Blog Hop! 

Ginni here with a fun page to share with you! As I was giving my brother Tony the scrapbook I’d made of his life last Christmas, my daughter was taking pictures. Right in the middle of one of the most serious moments my oldest Grandson Noah and my husband photo bombed the picture! It’s one of my all time fav pics!


I used Kreaxions Punch #310 with no template to create my borders. The cut-away piece is on the left side. And I used the Kreaxions Star Template and the same punch to create the star. I only punched on every other point. Part of the cut-away from the Star Template is the corner piece at the top right over the page. And then used the snowflakes and some of the other pieces around the page. I also added some bling to enhance the wintery feel of the page.

Other Materials – Sketch – Kristine Davidson; Patterned Paper – Simple Stories, Basic Grey; Bling – Bling It; Pens – Sharpie; Omni Gel; Title Letters cut with Cricut using Cutting Up font with Cartoon selection.
