Hi everyone! Well, as promised and planned the boat got flipped today! Our friends Leo and Heather and their 2 year old son Raul came over to help us. I tried taking video with my cellphone which actually worked pretty good, but it was quite an anticlimatic event for a video taping. The pulley worked very well and the boat came down about as slowly as you'll see in the following slideshow. God even held off the rains until after we were finished grilling! BOAT PROGRESS!!!
With all the rain, then 100 degree heat (YES it was officially 100 degrees!) and then more rain, it's been difficult for Steve to work on the boat. But he has managed to get it to a point where it's ready to flip over and work on the top part! He did manage to get himself in a bit of trouble with me for being too impatient and starting the flip all by himself. BAD BOY! But be on the lookout for another email this weekend as tomorrow is the BIG FLIP!!! Our friends Leo and Heather are going to come help us with it since the boat is already about 1/2 way there. In the meantime, here are the latest pictures. Tomorrow I hope to have a video with sound of the boat actually flipping! IF all works according to plan that is...

Let the Scrapping Begin!!!
Today's the first day of the My Sketch World Summer Crop! YAY! It runs throughout this week and ends next Sunday, June 28. Lately, I've been working on finishing up Molly's pictures. As I finished my last LO yesterday I realized that I was finally caught up on her pictures again! There might be a few Christmas ones that I didn't do yet and I haven't done our trip to Vero a few weeks ago, but all the rest have been scrapped and put into permanent albums! WOW!!! Of course she's the ONLY subject that I'm caught up on but at least there's one! ;) So I thought I'd share the last few LOs I did of our fun at the Miami Seaquarium and Butterfly World last May. Enjoy!
First is a single page about Molly at Butterfly World - one of our fav places to go!
Next is a two-pager about feeding the Lorikeets at Butterfly World. Molly took most of these pictures!! Great job Honey!!
The next two pages are from the Miami Seaquarium. We weren't sure if they were feeding the sharks or the pelicans!
And finally, the funny seals who were begging for their food at the Miami Seaquarium.

Scrapdango June Sugar Kit Reveal!!!
Today is finally the day! I've been sooooooo excited about sharing this kit with you! I created a slideshow for your viewing pleasure and because I did SO much with this awesome kit! I created a 6-page panoramic set of layouts about 10 days in my life last October. I created two door hangers - one for Molly and one for Noah. Then I created two MORE layouts and I STILL have some cardstock, patterned paper scraps, ribbons, tags AND rubons left over!!! It's incredible the value you get in these kits! Visit with Jeff and Molly
Today we were blessed with a fun day! Jeff and Molly drove down to Vero Beach and we drove up (about 2 hours for both of us) and we had a fun day together. We were going to go to a botanical garden there but just as we arrived it started to get dark and stormy. So we popped into the gift shop where Molly found a large dragonfly that balances on the tip of your finger (or nose). It was only $2.50 so we bought it for her. I took this picture from the front seat of the car while we were stopped at a red light. The dragonfly's nose is on top of her nose!
There was this HUGE 2000 year old Cypress tree stump so I grabbed a photo op before it really got nasty. Just as I snapped the pictures thunder roared and Molly was scared.
I took advantage of the cool turtle for a photo op as well. :) It was starting to sprinkle a bit and Molly was getting cold but I love this picture anyway!
We decided to try to go to the beach but the weather totally didn't cooperate so we went to Target instead and did some book and toy shopping. Then on the way home we saw this HUGE rainbow! It just kept getting bigger and closer! Both of us commented on how we didn't think we'd ever been so close to one before! I had to take two pictures to get even half of the rainbow! The first one technically is a continuation of the second one!
Then the rains poured down again. I'm pretty tired of all this rain. Everything's green again though! And all my flowers and trees are loving it so I guess it's a good thing. :) Have a wonderful day everyone!

Surprises in my Yard!
I went out to the back yard to feed the birds and found that a "new" hibiscus bush had finally blossomed! This bush was cut back so far by my dear hubby that it hasn't bloomed for two years. I guess all this rain has been good for something! What a pretty surprise!
Then I turned to come into the house and there was a pair of Ibis in my front yard! They love all this rain because it brings the bugs up to the surface. Ibises are welcome anytime in my yard! Some people consider them to be good luck! I just like looking at them. :) The one that's kind of brown is a yearling. They don't turn completely white until they reach maturity at about 1 year old. It's unusual for them to be alone like this though. But it was a nice surprise too!
At least there's something for the now 17 straight days of storms and pouring rain! Thank God for sandy soil! It drains away quickly. But I think all of us South Floridians could use a bit of a break! Hurricane season has set in on us and has started with a bang. The year after we moved in we got a month straight of rain like this and it was a BAD year for hurricanes! Hopefully this year won't be the same... Still, all it takes is one... Might be a good way to get to the lodge in Alaska tho! As long as I can get my things out first and we're safe... ;)
