Kreaxions Design Team Reveal and More!

Hello!  The Just Imagine/Kreaxions Design Team has done it again!  This month's reveal is awesome and full of creative ideas for using Kreaxions Punches and for Halloween!  Here's my creation for this month's reveal

I had this owl transparency for over a year so I decided it was time to use it!  So I adhered it to some cardstock and then cut it out and adhered it to the card base.  I used Kreaxions Punch#906 to create the borders which I added bling to.  I also added bling to his eyes to give him even more personality.

These are pictures of the armor used in medieval times.  It was so neat to see the “real” thing!  These are at the Medieval Times castle in Orlando.

These are pictures of the Super Moon in 2012.  We were at the Medieval Times in Orlando and just as we left the building the moon was at its peak.  I just HAD to take pics!

My Cutie Pie

Hello! This is one of my favorite pics of my Grandson Garrett that I took last month while celebrating his 4^th birthday.  Sometimes your photo is so cute or beautiful or whatever that you don’t want a lot of stuff cluttering up the page.  I’ve found that with just a little bit of punching, you can make a fun mat and borders which enhance your photo(s) and yet it still does the picture justice with a great layout.  And instead of expensive embellishments that you have to purchase each time, you can use your scraps and matching papers to create your own for free!




On this page  I used Kreaxions Punch #920 with no template and with Template A for my borders.  Then I used Template B on the photo mat corners, and finally I used Template C on the photo corners.  I created the title with my Cricut using the Jasmine font.  The pieces around the photo are cut-away pieces from the borders and corners.  I just hate throwing those little pieces away and this is a great way to make use of them!

As you can see, there are 3 pieces that come with each Kreaxions 4-in-1 punch.  Template A is the one on the right and creates a border.  Templates B and C are corner punches with Template C being a corner rounder and Template B giving a sharp edge at the top.  And every time you punch, there are little pieces that cut away which are fabulous for decorating around the page as I have on this one (and often do).

In Honor of My Mother

Today is a rough day for my family and I.  One year ago today my Mom died of cancer.  She was 84 years old and someone that everyone loved.  She and my Dad had celebrated almost 66 years of wedded bliss and we miss her very much.  So in honor of her memory I am sharing this page today.

I used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter to cut a 10” circle, then used Kreaxions Stencil B, the Kreaxions Positioning Parts small 8 cm and Kreaxions Punch #916 to create the doily.
The pictures are of Mom just after we found out she only had a few months to live.  One of my cousins goes to a church where the ladies make quilts for people who are sick.  They tie knots in the design and each knot is a prayer for the person who’s receiving the quilt.  Mom didn’t know it was coming and was so surprised when it arrived!  It even had her favorite color – purple – in it!  (No one knew that was her fav color!  It just happened!) She loved it so much that she asked to be buried with the quilt.  She had it on her bed every day until she died and now it’s covering her in the grave.

October Already?!?!

How in the WORLD did it get to be October already???!!!  I don't know where this year has gone but it's going fast and before we know it Christmas will be here!  I'm a day late announcing the September winner...  And the winner is.....

Since it's the first of the month and I don't have another post on the blog for another week, I wanted to share some more Kreaxions projects I've completed that won't be posted on the Just Imagine/Kreaxions blog.  This will give everyone more chances to win the monthly prize!!!

First is the October Design Team reveal for Just Imagine/Kreaxions.  We have a new DT and the creations are AMAZING!  You can see the other creations HERE.  This is my page for the reveal...  I used Kreaxions Punch #312 with Template A for the borders and Template C for the corners.  Then I used the cut-away pieces all over the page.

Next is a fun page I created for a challenge to use a sunburst.  I used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter, Kreaxions Stencil A and Kreaxions Punch #913 with no template.  First I drew the stencil lines on the back of my paper.  Second I used the circle cutter to cut out the paper.  Third I cut out every other piece from the stencil.  Fourth I punched the ends of the pieces left and finally I added the cut-away pieces in between and all over the page.  The picture is of my Grandmother (on the left) with her sister and a friend.  Don't you just LOVE those old bathing suits?!  I created the waves with a curvy trimmer from Creative Memories.  And there's orange Stickles all over the page as well.

Next is a sympathy card.  One of my husband's cousins died suddenly and I needed a quick card.  I'd just received this Pavilla Bloom Outline die from the Just Imagine Store in the mail and they were PERFECT for the card along with Kreaxions Punch #916 with no template for the borders.

Next is a picture of my Granddaughter Molly at Sea World.  She was super excited to find an aquarium with comb jellyfish which she explained in great detail are some of the most poisonous in the world.  I just LOVE this picture!  I used my Kreaxions Circle Cutter to create the scalloped border - which is SUPER easy!  These are 1-1/2 inch scallops.  To create this size scallop draw a line on the back side of your paper about 2 inches away from the edge.  Set your circle cutter to 1-1/2 inches and put the point that is usually for the center of your circle directly on the line with the blade as close to the edge of your paper as possible.  Working from left to right, cut your circle ONLY to the drawn line and then place the blade just to the right of the scallop you just created.  Do this all the way across (or as far as you wish) and then cut the paper with your paper trimmer about 1/4 inch below the line you drew.  One other note about this page is that I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the border on which I then used ink to color the raised image.

And last but not least is a page of my youngest Grandson Garrett who was tired of me taking pictures of him at the Hibachi Grill.  We were celebrating his 4th birthday a couple of weeks early and he just threw his arms in front of his face and said "NO MORE PICTURES GIGI!!!"  So I pulled out my Kreaxions Circle Cutter, Kreaxions Stencil B, the Kreaxions Positioning Parts (large 6.8 cm on the black circle and small 6.8 cm on the red circle) which created the doily and Kreaxions Punch #915 to create this page.
