My husband Steve and I will celebrate our 24th anniversary this August! This was my first time using any of the chalk-style products and I have to say I fell in LOVE with them!  I used Kreaxions Punch #917 with Templates A & C for my frame, with Template B for the photo corners and with no template and using the cut-away piece for the circle frame on Steve’s picture. I used a lot of cut-away hearts all over the page. The large heart in the envelope, the medium sized heart next to the envelope and the die cut “I love you” were cut with my Cricut using the George font. I used my turquoise pen to draw flower centers and to outline everything. The journaling on the black paper is the teal pen underneath a white pen.

It''s March Madness Mini Crop Time at Turtle Soup!!!

This is a page about my Grandmother.  Much to my Grandmother's chagrin I don’t sew so I used stamps and two different colors to create the stitching on the top and side of the page.  I also drew the rest of the stitching around the page.  I used my Kreaxions Circle Cutter to cut the circles behind the buttons.  I curled and inked the edges.  My hearts were cut on the Cricut using the George font.  My Manufacturer is My Mind’s Eye.  I hope you'll come join us at the Turtle for the challenges!

Kreaxions Design Team Reveal!

Every month the Just Imagine/Kreaxions Design Team will have a themed reveal.  This month the theme is all green or St. Patrick's Day.  I needed an anniversary card so I chose to use the all green theme since green is my daughter-in-law's favorite color!  To see what the other Design Team Members created go to the Just Imagine/Kreaxions blog. 

To create the doily I used Kreaxions #917 with no template and the Kreaxions Star Stencil.  Simply draw the outline of the Star Stencil on the back side of your paper and cut along the lines.  Then put your paper into your selected punch (you can do this with ANY of the Kreaxions 4-in-1 punches!) one point at a time with the point centered.  Go around your star doing this on each point.  If you want to cut away the outer piece just trim the little pieces that stay attached.  I chose to keep mine together.  Then I used some of the cut away pieces for the border at the top right.  I usually wait until I'm finished punching to do any spraying, painting, inking, etc.  I sprayed the papers with Glimmer Mist and edged them with Metallic Chalk.   Everything was created with scraps!

Our Last Picture

This is the last picture taken of my Mom and I. When it was taken we didn’t even know she had cancer yet. She died last October and I really miss her. Scrapping is great therapy for grief! So I used a sketch from My Scraps & More to create this page about our last picture.

I used Kreaxions Punch #917 with no template to create the borders.  I put red ribbon behind the main piece so that it would show up better. The little hearts are cutaway pieces.  I used Template C to punch the photo corners then I colored them in.

My layout today is based on a sketch by Audrey Yeager at My Scraps & More.  I used Kreaxions Punch #917 with no template for the border on the left banner.  Then I used the cut-away pieces all over the page.  The picture is of my oldest Grandson Noah.  Can't believe he'll be 10 soon!!!  They do grow up fast don't they?
