July 4th Wreath Using Kreaxions Punch #907

I saw this wreath on the SB Expo page on Facebook and I instantly knew I wanted to try it!  So I pulled out Kreaxions Punch #907, the Kreaxions Star Stencil and my Kreaxions Circle Cutter along with some chipboard and 3 different papers and started working.

The beauty of this wreath is that you could use ANY of the Kreaxions punches and ANY theme or holiday!  I chose July 4^th but you could do Christmas, Halloween, Easter, Thanksgiving, anything!

Here's a tutorial for how to make this wreath:
Cut an 8” circle from chipboard using Kreaxions Circle Cutter.  Cut a 6” circle from the other circle using Kreaxions Circle Cutter.  Paint chipboard circle.  Cut 3½ x 12” strip from each paper color (I used 3).  You may need more than one strip from each color depending on the punch you use.  Using the strips you cut, punch each one with Kreaxions Punch #907 with no template.  Space previously punched edge against left side of the punch to get next punch.


Using a paper trimmer, cut each punched piece at far edges of strip.

Layer your punched strips on top of chipboard circle overlapping edges.  Attach and pleat ribbon to cover tops of banner at inner circle edge.  Tie a bow with ribbon and attach where you determine your top center of wreath to be.  Using the Kreaxions Star Stencil, cut two stars.  Attach the two stars together so you have both sides of pattern showing.  Use paint or ink to distress edges.  Cut a 3” circle from white cardstock using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter.  Adhere leftover punched pieces around top of circle and outline with a pen.  Add sentiment and use paint or ink to distress edge.  Insert an eyelet on top of star and tie a piece of ribbon long enough to hang from the top.  (Attach the ribbon to the back of the wreath!)

Lattice Flower Card

Happy Tuesday!  Did you know that the Just Imagine Crafts Store carries lots of products besides the Kreaxions Punches?  One of my favorite things to purchase from the Just Imagine Store is their awesome embossing/cutting dies!  I love to combine the dies with the punches to come up with unusual and creative projects!  Today I'm sharing one of those projects.
 
First I used the lattice die which created the background “lace” work.  Then I used the Verona Bouquet die with green and then blue paper and put them together.  I also used Kreaxions Punch #904 with no template to create the border which I matted with red paper so it would show up better.  I put the red cardstock behind the lattice cut-out and the punched border on top of the lattice cut-out.  Once my card was assembled, I added some pearls, brads and a bit of pen work to enhance the edges of my dies.  If you don't see what you want in the Just Imagine Crafts Store, be sure to check back often because as items are featured on the blog and on Facebook and Pinterest they sell out.  So keep looking or substitute your own ideas!

Just Imagine/Kreaxions Monthly DT Reveal

Today is reveal day at the Just Imagine/Kreaxions blog!  Be sure to check out all the awesome projects there.  You're sure to be completely inspired!
My project this month is a Father's Day card.  My Dad is in a nursing home but it's a miracle he's still alive at almost 92 with all his health issues!  So I wanted to make him a special but simple card.  So I took Kreaxions Punch #904 with no template and punched across my paper being sure to leave some space in between the punched spots.  I used my paper trimmer and cut them as close to the edges of the punch as I could.  Then I added the cut-away pieces from the punched image down at the bottom.  To finish off the card, I "stitched" around the edges and added some old glitter stickers and Dew Drops rhinestones to match.

I really love how it turned out! And the beauty is that this technique would work with any theme, any colors and any of the Kreaxions 4-in-1 punches!!!

The Sweet Life

Hello I have a card to share today... There was a challenge on the Turtle Soup forum to make a card for a friend.  So I made this one for my BFF who has been there for me through thick and thin for many years...

I used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter, Kreaxions Stencil B, Kreaxions Punch #904 and the Kreaxions Positioning Parts Size 6.8 cm to create the doily on this card.  Then I used a red pen to color in some of the design and to “stitch” around the edges of the mats.

Beach Bums

Hi there!  Ginni here with a fun page and tutorial on how to make a "sun" with the Kreaxions Star Stencil and any Kreaxions 4-in-1 punch!  The beauty of this "sun" is that you can use it on any type of project - layout, card, tag, altered item, anything!  First, here's the full page layout I created using a picture of my Grandson Noah and a friend of his on the beach.

Before I get into the sun tutorial, here's how I created the border at the bottom of the page...  FIrst cut a 2 ¾” x 12” piece from cardstock and another from patterned paper. Using your preferred punch (I used Kreaxions #904) with no template, punch BOTH sides (top and bottom) of the patterned paper. This will give you two cut-away pieces. Place one cut-away piece on the bottom and the other cut-away piece on the top of the cardstock strip. Then put the punched piece in the center and adhere to your page.
Now for the sun tutorial...  Start by cutting two stars using the Kreaxions Star Stencil from double-sided patterned paper. Using your preferred punch (I used Kreaxions #904), punch on the points of the star. On the un-punched star, simply fold up the points towards the center. Using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter, cut one 2 ¾” circle and one 4” circle from cardstock.   Adhere the center piece from the punched star to the smaller circle. Then adhere that piece to the center of the folded star. Place the cut-away piece from the punched star on top of the larger circle and adhere to your page. Adhere the punched star piece to the center of the larger circle piece. 


Use some bling and brads and one of your pens to "jazz" it up a bit...
I used some of the pieces cut away from the stars that looked like big chevrons on my photo as corners and I also used some of the cut-away punched pieces for accents.

And now for today's reveal... This is a picture of my Grandson Garrett and his puppy (yes PUPPY!) Brutus. The dog is bigger than Garrett who doesn't care and still wants to wrestle him!  I lifted a page by Toni Archer on the Scrapping Turtle forum.  I used Kreaxions Punch #904 with no template to create the border edges and with Template C for the two corner pieces on the picture.  I added some word and letter stickers to enhance the page.
