Selfie

I used a sketch from the My Scraps & More Sketch Blog for this pic of my husband and I and my granddaughter 3 years ago.  It was the last time I saw her before all the craziness started in my life.  I used the Cricut to cut a 10” star and three 3” stars from the George font and I used Kreaxions Punch #910 with Template A to create the borders at the top.  The cut away piece is at the top.  The frame on the page is the leftover from cutting one of the stars and putting pop dots behind it and mounting it on a piece of cardstock.  I added some Brads, a flower and some Dew Drops and the page all came together!

Kreaxions Design Team Reveal

It's Kreaxions Design Team Reveal day!  The theme this month was outdoors, nature, or fun and bright.   I chose fun and bright.

These are pictures from our trip to Medieval Times in Orlando for my Granddaughter Molly's 10th birthday about 3 years ago.  I used the colors of the knight whose section we were in.  I created the design on the background by using a swirly template.  The border was created with Kreaxions Punch #913 with no template.  The title/journaling block was created using Kreaxions Punch #913 with Template C and the cut-away pieces are scattered all over the page. Everything was scraps except the background cardstock!

Cherry Blossoms

I took this picture with my old phone while being driven through the airport terminal traffic the last time I flew up to DC.  It’s been a VERY long time since I’d seen the cherry blossoms up there and they were EVERYWHERE!  I really wanted to get some close-ups of the blooms but because of everything that happened.  So I’m really glad this pic turned out.

I painted 3 of the corners with black crackle paint then painted it with pink after it dried.  I created the title doily by using the Kreaxions Circle Cutter, Kreaxions Stencil B, and Kreaxions Punch #910 with Postioning Parts 6.8 cm.   I created the cherries by using Precious Wedding Rings die and cutting off the “diamond” part then putting the cut-away pieces back into the “cherries”.  The branches were made with Verona Bouquet die and I cut off the flowers.  I layered them all together and used my pen to outline so they’d show up better.  A little Stickles around the edges and a green rhinestone finish off the cherries.  The border was created with Kreaxions Punch #910 with Template A and the photo corners and mat corners were created with Templates B and C.  I had some leftover pieces from a previous project so I used them at the top right and bottom of my photo.  I painted and Stickled some plain white flowers and outlined everything with a pen to show it all off and to do my journaling.  Some rhinestones and pearls finish off the page..
