I want to thank Bev for awarding me this award!!!!! I'm a bit late posting it because of all the craziness in life lately but better late than never right? :)

The rules are that I must share 7 things with you about myself and pass the award on to 8 other bloggers (who must then do the same).

So here I go...
1. I love Jesus!
2. I'm totally addicted to scrapping and I DON'T need a 12-step program to cure me! LOL!
3. I love my family and being a grandmother is the best thing EVER!
4. I love my friends! I couldn't go through life without them and their support.
5. I live 15 minutes from the beach but rarely go there. Too many tourists and it's hard to park.
6. In 1970 I learned to type, spent 35 years as a secretary and currently type 120 words a minute!
7. I have a crazy, obsessive-compulsive dog who loves to "sing" when my husband plays the harmonica!

Just Imagine/Kreaxions Reveal!

Hi everyone! What a BUSY month I've had! :) Started off taking a trip to my daughter's in Virginia Beach for 5 days. Came home with my 7 year old grandson and had almost 2 weeks with him here. We spent two days in Orlando with my 10 year old granddaughter at Sea World and had an absolute BLAST! (Picture slideshows to come soon!) Then just last Saturday my daughter and 10 month old grandson arrived for a quick weekend trip and everyone leaves this afternoon. :( Needless to say there hasn't been ANY scrappy time at all! But boy do I have fodder for new pages!!! LOL!
Anyway, today is my turn to post for the Just Imagine/Kreaxions blog and I wanted to share a couple of cards with you.
First is the Father's Day card I posted on the Just Imagine/Kreaxions blog this morning...

I used some special pieces that are available in the Just Imagine Store http://www.justimaginecrafts.com/catalog. Next month I’ll be sharing more on how to use the AWESOME Punch Mate and the FABULOUS Positioning Pieces which I used on this card. So be sure to check back in a couple of weeks to see how you can use even Bazzill cardstock with the FANTASTIC Kreaxions punches!
For now, here’s how I created this card. I stippled the background and then used the Kreaxions Positioning Parts, Kreaxions Stencil B and Kreaxions Punch #913 to create the round element on this card. I also used the Kreaxions Circle Cutter to make the small green circle mat. Kreaxions Punch #913 with Insert A created the border and positive pieces. I stamped and heat embossed the sentiment. The brad was a cream color, but some Alcohol Ink and Staz-On Ink gave me the perfect element for this card. I outlined everything with a pen. The green and orange pieces are all Bazzill cardstock! And yet with the help of the Punch Mate even these old, tired, sore wrists punched through that cardstock with ease!
And here's another card I created using the Punch Mate and more Bazzill cardstock...


The border and corners were all cut with the assistance of the Punch Mate on this card too!

BUSY MONTH!!!!

Hi everyone! I'm sorry to say I don't have any cute pics or scrappy pages or cards to post at the moment. I'm being a Grandma (they call me Gigi) this month to my oldest and youngest grandsons and my granddaughter. Noah is 7 and he's here for a couple of weeks for a visit from Virginia. His brother Garrett (10 months) and my daughter are coming down on the 23rd and then they're all leaving on the 25th. In between my husband and I are taking Noah to Orlando where we'll meet 10 year old Molly and we'll spend 2 days at Sea World. (We got a HUGE deal through the Sea World site!)

Needless to say I already have a TON of pics and stories to tell in my upcoming pages, but there's more to take and create!

So I just wanted to pop in and say hello and tell you to keep your eyes peeled here cuz in August I'm gonna really be feeling that empty nest! LOL!

July MSW Reveals!!!

I'm a bit late posting my July reveals for My Sketch World here. It was a busy week and I'm just getting a chance to post them now. I did two layouts and one card from Lucy's fabulous sketches.

And here's my first version of it. I just LOVE this picture of my mom and Garrett! The paper line is Pink Paislee.


And here's my second version of it. Take a really good look at Garrett's left hand in this picture. And enlarge it enough to read the journaling. You'll get a great laugh out of it! I promise you this picture was NOT posed!!!! :) And please don't be offended! It is NOT something that his parents or I encourage but it IS his opinion and ironically mine as well towards the world on the day I scrapped this photo. :) The paper line is Best Creations.

Finally Scrappy!!!

It's been a rough few months since I started back to work. Haven't worked at ALL for 4 years, haven't worked every day for over 10! And never worked with such rude, inconsiderate, mean customers before either! But we're finally getting caught up at work and my personal life seems to be calming down too. Since February things have been quite crazy around me and I'm glad to have some light at the end of the proverbial tunnel! Needless to say, my scrappy time has been seriously affected. I expected some of that to happen but not anywhere near as much as I've really lost. Now that things are kinda calming down I'm hoping I can start to catch up on some major projects I had planned.
Like my brother and sister-in-law's wedding album I promised them as a wedding gift! They got married April 16 and normally I'd have finished it and had it in the mail to them. Unfortunately, I've only been able to complete a few pages. I plan on changing that this long holiday weekend! :)
I was able to do this two-pager over a few days this week and while it took me 3 days to complete, I really love how it turned out. I used a sketch from Lucy Chesna's E-Book (you can find it at http://mysketchworld.blogspot.com/2010/09/my-sketch-world-ebook.html) which I absolutely LOVE. The colors turned out very garishly in the scan, but they really aren't this loud or bright in real life... The title and wedding bells are heat embossed.
