What a month it's been! Full of excitement, stress, but most of all BLESSINGS!!! At the beginning of December we weren't sure we'd even be able to buy gifts to mail to our grandkids. But God blessed my husband with so much work that suddenly we were not only able to buy and mail gifts, we were also able to make the trip to Kissimmee and Virginia to DELIVER most of the gifts we bought!!!!! (We had to mail the gifts to Alaska...) God is so very, very good!!!!
We started our trip with a visit to see Molly. It was short (just a couple of hours) but very sweet and she was happy to see us and LOVED her gifts! Then we drove about 6 hours through countless herds of deer just on the side of the road on the interstate to S Carolina where we slept for a few hours. Then yesterday morning we got up early and drove about 6 1/2 more hours to arrive in Virginia Beach to visit our grandsons, my daughter and her SO. Noah had no idea we were coming and was so surprised!! And Steve and Garrett finally met. Of course it was instant love on both sides! :) Then we opened gifts and a great time was had by all of us. Next we went to the Chinese buffet where Noah learned that octopus wasn't so bad after all. (EEEEWWWW YUCK!) And home we went to crash. By 10 PM it was snowing and it hasn't stopped since!!! (I'm typing this at 5 PM the next day!)
We now have about 2 FEET of snow and it's still a blizzard out there!!!!!!! We're SUPER glad we didn't fly and that we drove yesterday!!!
Today has been spent enjoying football and each other. Brett cooked his famous chicken wings - hot for him and Steve and BBQ for Noah, Michele and I. :) YUMMY! He came out of the kitchen with the second batch and said "Thanks for making this such an awesome Christmas guys!" Awwwwwww!!!! :) We agree Brett! :)
So now we're just curious how much snow we'll eventually end up with and whether or not Michele's store will be closed tomorrow... It's supposed to continue snowing all night! Very rare for this area too! And we'll enjoy our time here with them. Thursday we drive to Northern Virginia to see the rest of my family for a few days and then hopefully drive home on the third where our friends are taking better care of our home and dog Baxter than we would be! Like I said, we have been very blessed!

Crazy Christmas Time!
I don't know about anyone else, but this year has been a super crazy one! We've had two engagements, two babies added to the family, lots of guests visiting, computer issues and somehow each of us managed to travel without each other at least twice this summer! So I started the season feeling like it kinda snuck up on me. Next three of my dear friends had super serious life issues and needed their friend (me) to spend hours on the phone with them. I was (and still am) happy to help them and honored that they think enough of me to want me to be the one they confide in. It has just been hard to manage my time because they obviously come before some silly Christmas cards! Then the weather got super cold and we had to convince our friends to come stay with us since they didn't have heat. It took them 24 hours to thaw out - literally! Then my poor DH got super sick with a cold. He's better now and somehow, some way I managed not to get it myself! YAY! It just seemed like every time I turned around something was taking me away from what I wanted or felt like I "should" be doing...
And then suddenly it was a week before Christmas! My cookie baking tradition went out the window when I tried a different kind and they were total disasters. My handmade cards went out the window when the Cricut cartridge I ordered to make life "SO MUCH EASIER HONEY" (as I explained to my dear husband) turned out to take up MORE time and be super complicated... (Or maybe it's just my non-logical brain just couldn't figure it out...) However, the Costco photo card turned out SUPER cute and everyone is raving about it! Thank GOD for Costco! And thankfully everyone's LOVING the two-page family letter I put in with the card which had at least 12 pictures included. Isn't it nice to feel rewarded for all your hard work?! Hehe!
Anyway, I know that whatever ends up getting done will be fine with my family and friends. But I wanted it to be SO much better! And I really, truly wish that I could have ENJOYED it more this year. I've been telling the "Time Thieves" to get away... Maybe I should start telling the "Joy Thieves" to leave too... Hmmmmmm.... Might just have something there!
Anyway, it's all keeping my mind off the pending Design Team call results for Imaginisce, the Echo Park guest blogger call and the Pink Paislee blogger of the month (one each month for 2011) that I applied for... There's usually a blessing in everything isn't there?
Meanwhile, I'm trying to remember the REAL reason for this season and to keep my focus on Him. Sometimes it isn't easy, but then that's why He's here helping me isn't it? Hehe!

SOOOOOO SCARY!!!!!
After a wonderful morning getting things done at home and a great couple of hours of shopping, I returned home to our friends who were coming to spend another night or two due to the cold. My little dog Baxter was in our bedroom because he hates being out by himself when we're gone (bad separation anxiety case here). So after we got all our stuff in I let him out and he ended up going through the doggy door to the back yard. No problem. Happens dozens of times every day. But today was different! Today one of the pair of pit bulls that lives across the street had gotten out. I didn't know that though. And what I also didn't know is that this pit bull had literally torn down part of the fencing in the hedge to get into my back yard and come after my dog!!!!
Now Baxter has NEVER liked these dogs. I'm not too fond of the breed myself, but these are not well-controlled and they are not nice dogs at all. They belong to the daughter of our neighbor who is not happy about having them in the house. And they are not spayed or neutered. They are the epitome of the badness of this breed. So every time Baxter sees or hears these dogs he tries to go after them. We've been working on making him stop but when one is in HIS yard coming after HIS family, Baxter proved himself to be strong and brave! By the time I figured out what was happening, the dogs were on top of each other in the far corner of the yard! I finally got Baxter to come to me and we were about 5-7 feet from the corner when I heard a sound. Here came the big dog!!!
Baxter whirled around and went after the pit bull making the most awful barking noise you ever heard! The pit bull (about 3 times Bax's size) turned and started to go back and the next thing I knew Baxter came up on that dog's butt and grabbed him with his teeth! Of course that started another huge fight and they were on top of each other! I'm screaming at Baxter and trying to figure out what to do when my friend Karen comes running with a thick rubber hose she'd found laying on the ground. She went after the dogs and was whacking a table and the ground with it. Baxter finally came towards me and I got him started towards the house yelling at him AND at Karen to come into the house. Meanwhile Scott had come outside to see what all the noise was about. I finally got Scott to get Bax inside and yelled at Karen to come because she was chasing the dog into the corner! (She's about 5'4" and less than 100 lbs!)
By now I'm yelling at Karen like she's the dog "Karen COME!" She finally listened and started slowly walking across the big yard and I'm yelling "KAREN COME NOW!" She suddenly realized that the dog could be on her in a second and raced back into the house. Whew! Everyone's inside and we're all crazy - you can imagine the commotion! Bax wants out, Karen's trying to figure out if I'm okay, I'm shaking so hard I can hardly move trying to find the neighbor's phone number, etc. I finally got the neighbor on the phone and he's apologizing like crazy saying the dogs are both in their kennels, he's had enough of his (grown) daughter's dogs, etc. and asking if Bax and I are okay. We are. But in the process, someone didn't close the door to outside and Bax got back out and now I can't find him. He's GONE!
I go back inside and get the leash and his treats and put a sweater on cuz it's blowing gale-force winds and the temps are dropping (we're supposed to have a wind chill of 10 (that's TEN) degrees tonight! I start going around looking and screaming for Baxter. He's nowhere to be seen! We live in an old neighborhood built in the 1960s so our yards are big and our blocks are large. And we're a block off a major street and it's rush hour - 5:00 on a Monday afternoon. NOT a good scenario for a crazy dog who's out for revenge! I called my husband almost in tears and he says he'll be home in 5-10 minutes.
Finally about 3/4 of the way around I called Scott and Karen who are back at the house and ask if they'll go look in the back yard. Thank God that Baxter was there!!! They get him in his kennel and I walk the rest of the way home wheezing and shaking and freaking out.
In the end, neither Baxter nor the pit bull have a scratch on them. It's a MIRACLE! And us adults are finally calming down. Dinner's a bit later than usual as a result and the aftermath of telling Steve all our horror stories about what happened. Actually, the visual picture of my dog biting the other dog's butt will live on in my memory forever! GO BAXTER! I've always told Steve this little 30 pound dog would guard me with his life. Now even Steve believes it!!! And it was good for Scott and Karen to see what happened because they now understand what we've been trying to tell them. (They're watching the house and Bax while we go up north for the holidays.) And it was good for Baxter to know that when push came to shove, Karen has all authority! Hehe! The picture of her whacking that rubber hose on the table and ground and screaming "BACK!" was pretty funny too. But also one I never, ever want to repeat!!!
Needless to say we all needed a nice stiff drink - even ME! And I rarely drink! But all is calm now and I just had to share. As if I needed even MORE excitement in my life!!!!! OMG!!! I just thank God that we're all okay. It could have been SO much worse for all of us!

I LOVE Christmas!!!!
And I love my town! Every year they have this Santa parade that goes around the neighborhoods. They have a huge speaker on the front of Santa's fire truck blaring Christmas music and Santa and all his helpers hollering "Merry Christmas!" and "Happy Holidays!" They also blare every siren and horn they have as loud as they can over and over again to announce their presence and arrival. Last night they came by the shopping center where Steve and I had just had our first dinner out in months. Then today while I was cleaning I heard them in the neighborhood. I grabbed my camera and waited till they came by my house. It's the first year I've actually been able to get decent pictures! And it's the first warm day we've had in weeks. I'm enjoying it because it won't last long and neither will this awesome season. I just HAD to stop all my cleaning and share these pics!

Crazy Days!
It's definitely the Christmas season and totally a fitting end to this particular year! Busy, busy, BUSY!!!!! And who turned off the heat?! South Florida has had record low temps for almost two weeks now! One night we actually had wind chills in the 20s! Steve's poor garden! And as a result we have a couple who have no heat and live in a very drafty place staying with us. They thought it was only gonna be one or maybe two nights. It's been FOUR!!! But they were hypothermic and took 24 hours to thaw out when they finally did arrive so I won't let them leave till tomorrow. :) Sad thing is, they'll have to come back on Tuesday because the temp's supposed to be 39 again! ICK! Can I tell you how much I absolutely HATE the cold???!!!
And then there's all the stuff that has to get done this time of year... Christmas cards and gifts and projects plus all the normal, everyday stuff... I need 48 hour days! How you ladies with kids do this life these days I'll never know! :) Anyway, I've scrapped but can't share so you'll have to wait. They're for design team submissions and I don't know when I'll get answers yet. I'm on pins and needles tho! :)
However, I do have SIX - yes I said SIX - layouts being published in the Scrapbook News and Review magazine this month! I believe it's being released tomorrow... I could hardly believe my eyes when I read the email! And I have several friends who have projects being published in that issue as well! So be sure to check it out! www.scrapbooknewsandreview.com.
Right now, though, it's 1 AM and I need to try to sleep tonight. Another busy day tomorrow and Saturday and Sunday I'm really hoping to have some card-making time. We'll see! Reveal Day!
Okay. I wanna know where this YEAR went!!! HOW in the WORLD did it get to be December 1st already??? I'm SO not ready for it yet! I need another month at least! But here it is and now I'm behind on my Christmas projects once again... One of these years I'm gonna shock everyone and have all my cards mailed by now! HA! Who am I kidding?! Hehe!
Anyway, with it being December 1st that means I can reveal the MSW layout and card sketches and my versions of them! Tomorrow I'll reveal all of my November creations. I had GREAT fun with LOTS of challenges. (Should've been planning for Christmas stuff instead but that wouldn't have given me all the goodies I'm gonna share! Hehe!) So without further adieu, here's Lucy's awesome sketches for the month of December...
First the card sketch -
And here's my version of that sketch using some of the Reminisce prize package I won in the spring...
And here's the layout sketch...

Now I have to explain what the title means. The tree opens from the bottom and there's journaling inside which reads "Dawn was just breaking on Christmas morning. I awoke before everyone else and decided to take a peek at what Santa had brought us. As I craned my neck around the hallway door and looked into the Living Room I saw a shadowy figure next to the tree! It was moving! Terrified and thinking it was The Madonna (Jesus’ mother, Mary) I quickly ran back to my bedroom and hid under the covers. It was at least a couple of hours before anyone else got up. I was last of course! And there, much to my dismay and chagrin, stood a blow-up clown boppy!!! Thankfully, no one knew of my earlier encounter with that thing! But when I saw these pictures a couple of years ago, I knew it was a story I HAD to tell! November 16, 2010.”

Echo Park Papers ROCK!
I got a kit of Echo Park's "A Walk in the Park" line a few weeks ago. Last weekend I sat down and started playing with those papers and some challenges. What FUN I had! I love that the papers are so versatile - if you'll see I did a birthday page, a park page, a page about our mango tree and a page about Steve and Baxter just chillaxin'. I also needed a Christmas layout and had some EP "Everybody Loves Christmas" papers and embellishments. So I created a two-pager using a CTMH sketch from their Cherish book. Old memories and pics! But a FUN two-pager to create! These papers are fun to play with because they're double sided and of excellent quality! They cut well in the Cricut too! Let me just say they were a joy to play with! (Think I enjoyed myself??? Hehe!) I just HAD to share! Now... Where's the rest of that EP Everybody Loves Christmas kit I got the other day..... Gotta go play some more! Slideshow's in the next post. HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!!!!!
I can't believe it's already here! This year has been filled with a lot of events in our family - especially since the summer! There's so MUCH to share! But for now, I just wanted to wish everyone a VERY HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! I will be cooking with my wonderful husband Steve's help and our friends Karen and Scottie will be joining us. Our little dog Baxter will enjoy it tremendously because Karen and Scottie just sit and pet him almost the entire time they're here. And I'm sure he will get LOTS and LOTS of treats too! So whatever you're doing and whomever you're doing it with, have an awesome day.
Oh and the scrap organization contest results - I came in third. But I'm SUPER happy with that! Thank you to EVERYONE who voted for me! I consider this bragging rights and will be posting about it on Steve's new blog soon too!

The other day I submitted a picture of my new office/scrappy space to Scrapbooks Etc. They just emailed me and said I'm in the running for the $100 prize!!!!!!! I LOVE Miracles!
Many of you don't know that I'm a walking miracle. Yep. A real live honest to goodness miracle happened to me!
It all started in September 1999. Hurricane Floyd was a Category 4 hurricane barreling towards us. I was working with another lady and 7 commercial real estate agents in a satellite office of a large firm in the area. The main office told my co-worker and I that we would have to move all the computer equipment and other expensive items that were somewhat portable to a back office where they would be safer and away from the windows. She was a mom with a kid in day care so I sent her home when the day was supposed to be over and I finished the job. The last thing to move was the monitor on my desk. It was SUPER heavy and I could barely scoot it across the desk - much less move it to another ROOM! Well, I knew I should just leave it but decided to be Little Miss Good Employee (LMGE). I got the thing off the desk and into my chair and wheeled it back to the other room. But once I got it in there it started to look like it wasn't gonna stay on the chair. So again LMGE decided I had to secure the thing safely. I picked that thing up and felt something in my back.
It didn't hurt at the time and I didn't think much of it. But by the time I drove my tiny stick-shift car home I was pretty darned sore. Of COURSE I was! We'd just moved most of the office! Well, Floyd missed us by 40 miles and it was a GORGEOUS S Florida day. The next day it was back to work. But now we had to move all that stuff BACK! I got Steve to come move that heavy monitor for us! He was shocked that I'd been able to do what I had with it - It was even heavy for HIM! OMG!
Long story short, I ended up in the doctor's office a few days later. I had slipped the L5 S1 disks and they were herniated and protruding into my sciatic nerve. I spent the next 8 months in agony. Physical therapy 3 times a week, lots of drugs and most of my time in bed unable to even lift a magazine or a book to read. I couldn't sit for more than a couple of minutes much less stand or DO anything! It was HORRIBLE!
Workers comp was slow to respond but in May 2000 I had back surgery and man did it help! But I was still in bad shape. If I even lifted a gallon of milk wrong I'd be in bed for 3 days. I was like that for FOUR YEARS!!!
And then on November 13, 2004 I went to a church meeting. It was a week of special meetings and it was a Wednesday night. Nothing special about this one. I was just enjoying the music and being around all the people.
And then the speaker asked who had pain in their bodies. I raised my hand... "Put your hands on the place where it hurts" he said. I did. And then it happened!!! No one touched me. No one had moved out of place. But an electricity and a heat went through my body AND THE PAIN LEFT ME!!!!! Now you have to remember, I hadn't been pain-free for four years! I was absolutely hysterical with joy! When my husband realized what had happened we both started crying! And thanking Jesus for my miracle!
That was six years ago. Today I am still totally healed! I've traveled, lifted, ridden in cars for long drives, driven long periods of time, sat for hours on end, scrapped to my heart's content, lifted grandbabies, you name it I've done it! Totally pain free! What joy it is to celebrate one more time the day that God had mercy on me and set me free! And people say miracles don't happen today much less in the USA... I'm here to prove them wrong!!! And thank Jesus one more time.

NFL FOOTBALL SUNDAY!!!!!
I absolutely LOVE Sundays from September to February! I pull all my scrappy stuff out of my craft room and plop it down on the dining room table so I can watch all the games and scrap. Then on Tuesday mornings (after the Monday night football game is over) I cart everything back into my room. When Super Bowl is over I am at a loss as to what to do with myself because I absolutely, positively LOVE pro football!!! :) So today I'm posting this week's projects just before I go hunker down in the other room. Hope you enjoy!
First up is a layout that I based on one I saw at Everything Scrapbook and Stamps. It's my daughter Michele at age 6 in a Popples Halloween costume. Hard to believe she's the mother of two now! Hehe!

How'd It Get to be November Already?!
YIKES!!! I know I've had a hugely busy summer, but I can hardly believe it's November already! Those of you up north are getting colder and starting to bundle up and turn your heaters on. We are looking forward to turning off the air conditioning and to the end of hurricane season! One more month and we're off the hook for the most part! YAYAY!!! So far we haven't even had a threat come close enough to make anyone panic so that's a really good thing! :)
November also brings a new bunch of challenges! At My Sketch World there's a new sketch by Lucy. Just one this month and next because everyone's so busy. I created a layout about Noah riding his bicycle without training wheels for the second time. I'm SO proud of him! It's a FUN sketch! Scrap Room Reveal!!!!!
It's finally finished! Well, at least as much as it's gonna be for now. There's a couple of things I'd like to replace, but that will come in time. :) I want to thank Shelley, my BFF, for the lamp and desk!!! :) They're perfect! Of course I also have to thank my wonderful husband Steve for all his ingenuity and hard work! Love you Honey Bunny! And now for the pics...
Here are the two before pictures...
As I mentioned before, we found a table at Habitat for Humanity for $10. This is the only picture I could find of one like it. My table wasn't as low as this - it was designed for higher chairs. But it's the same design as the one Steve cut up...
And THIS is what he created with that $10 table, plus some brackets and one more piece of wood... All for less than $18!!!!!
This is the desk area now...
Also we put the piano back in the living room and brought the fold-out couch into the room. Now there's a nice comfy couch for Steve to read or sleep on while I'm working or scrapping. (Another thrift store bargain!) :)
So now when I am creating, this is where I'll be. I think it works MUCH more efficiently. It's so much FUN too! And if I have a scrappy guest, there's plenty of room for two of us. Best of all, if we have an extra guest, there's a LOT more room for them now than putting a twin bed inside the room like we did for my brother this summer. :)
And now, it's scrappy time! Thanks for looking and leave us some love! :)

Five Years Ago Today .....
..... we had no electricity and no hot water and wouldn't for five more days. Hurricane Wilma had struck our area and it hit us hard. My daughter, her then husband, my then 2 YO grandson Noah and their two dogs had moved down from Virginia two weeks prior. So we had 3 dogs, a 2 year old and four adults living with a generator and a VERY damaged surrounding area! But Hurricane Katrina had hit Louisiana and Mississippi that year as well and we all know what happened there. So no one knew that we were in trouble. There was little news coverage outside of our immediate area and even our families in Virginia and Alaska had no idea what we'd just experienced. It wasn't one that any of us will ever forget. And honestly not one I'd like to repeat either. However, it's one of the prices of living in South Florida. I've always said "At least we know they're coming and we can prepare!"
The storm hit around 7:30 in the morning. We had moved all our valuables into plastic tubs and things, then put them out into the Florida room along with Noah who was sleeping in his crib. I guess that was the only space we had available with Michele and her family living with us. I won't make THAT mistake again though!
Being shuttered up and knowing that there's things going on outside is very unnerving. We had a little knot in the wood on one of the bedroom windows and we had not boarded the windows at the top of our door. I'm really glad because it gave us an opportunity to keep track of what was happening. Suddenly there was a sound like a machine gun going off. POP POP POP POP..... Over and over again. But it wasn't a gun. It was the wind pulling the roof off of our Florida room! The popping noise were the nails coming out of the wood!!! Suddenly there was water pouring onto Noah and our valuables we'd stored out there. So we were scrambling to grab everything and move it into the main part of the house. Thankfully everything was okay! Meanwhile, Steve and Michele had been looking out the door windows and saw the roof coming over the top of the house and landing in the street and wrapping around the tree in the front yard! Thankfully we'd moved our cars to the side of the house because they would all have been damaged by the roof if we hadn't!
Hours later the storm finally subsided and we were able to safely go outside. It was a very strange feeling! At the other end of our street there was a pile of rubble. Seems a tornado had come up in between our home and the condos across the street, then turned down our street and gone in between some houses a few doors up. Our retired police officer neighbor had watched it through his newly installed hurricane proof plate glass window. SCARY!
Later that day or the next day we ventured out of our neighborhood to go to the local Lowe's for wood to fix the roof. They were also running on a generator and could only allow a few people in the store at a time. So we stood in line and chatted with the others about our experiences. All of us knew just how lucky we had been! The one thing that I noticed that was particularly bizarre was that all the trees and anything else like phone poles, etc. were all one level! It was like someone had come through with a big set of hedge clippers!
You'd never know anything had happened now. Everything's back to normal. People have forgotten for the most part. Until we are threatened again. First it's the "Cone of Uncertainty." Next it's the "Cone of Possibility." Then it's the "Cone of Probability." Next it's the "Cone of Concern" and finally it just becomes "THE CONE!" Needless to say, we don't like the cone at all. :)
So today we are counting our blessings and remembering just how close we really came... Thank You Jesus for taking such good care of us!

New Scrappy Space!!!
Saturday morning I had planned to play at two online crops. I'd heard about both of them from MSW friends and had registered the night before for both. But when I checked my emails, neither one had approved me. So I was a bit bummed but planned to just scrap without challenges. Steve came in to see what was going on and a Facebook friend had just posted pics of her new scrappy space in her brand new home. I showed them to Steve and made a comment that I'd like to change things in my space. Next thing I knew we were designing a new layout for my room!
We drove down to the Habitat for Humanity Restore and found a $325 table (NO chairs were included in that price!) for $10!!! It had several scratches on it, but it was solid wood and i was gonna scratch it up too. We were pretty sure it would be too big for the room as a table. But my wonderful husband who loves to take things and make them into something else had a vision. So we brought the table home and took it all apart. He used the wood to make a 12 foot wide by 29 foot long surface with no legs underneath!!! All free space!!! Plus he made me some shelves and stained/painted them to match the wood from the former table. And now I have a work in progress! I'm waiting for another set of shelves that we repainted and we need a bit more wood. But for $27 and a couple of days of labor I have a new scrappy space!!! WOOHOO!!!
PLUS we are going to move the piano back into the living room and bring the fold out couch out of the guest room so I'll even be able to use it for relaxing and extra guest space. I'm SUPER excited and been talking about it all over my forums so thought I'd share a sneak peek of the one corner that's finished...

It's REVEAL DAY!!!
And that means I can finally reveal the LO I created for My Sketch World's October 15 sketch. I had great fun with this one!
I've also been doing a bit of scrapping and cardmaking lately. I made some cards today for the MSW World Cardmaking Crop that ends October 16 at midnite Eastern time and the Scrapdango ABCs of Cards crop that ends at midnite Pacific time on the 31st. I'll make a slideshow of my latest creations tomorrow. (Gives you a reason to come back! Hehe!)

Getting Scrappy
After returning home, I've been fighting the bronchitis and have been pretty much down for 3 days. Hopefully the latest med I tried will get rid of this cuz I'm tired of being sick! Anyway, Friday I was able to make some cards and a layout. Today I finally got back to the scrappy table again... Here's my latest creations.
My first layout about Garrett since he was born... The papers are REALLY old!
I played with the August Sugar kit from Scrapdango and created this layout and the following two cards... The layout is a complete copy (CASE) of one in the newsletter by Lisa Watson about our last picture in Houston at the end of our MSW Crop trip...
And last but not least a card I made from Bev's MSW challenge using some SUPER OLD stash...
Man it feels good to be scrapping again! :) I've missed it too much! But I got some awesome pics that I'll be playing with soon! Look for the October 15 MSW sketch reveal too! I can't wait to share it!!! :)

I'm Finally Home!
I arrived yesterday afternoon and spent the day today resupplying and straightening and cleaning. Then I crashed! Steve had to fix dinner cuz I just didn't have any energy left and after pigging out on yummy tacos I laid down on the couch and crashed! After napping for over an hour I decided to try to scrap and with the help of a Lucy Chesna sketch from MSW and a Scrapdango challenge I came up with this cute LO about Noah pretending to be a monster at the pool on Labor Day. :) He was a great poser for me since I needed pics to go with this awesome monster paper from my Reminisce prize package! Made for a fun time and it felt good to scrap again. I missed my home, my husband, my doggie and my scrappy stuff. :)

IT'S A BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My daughter gave birth tonight at 8 PM to a 6 lb 9 oz 19" long baby boy! His name is Garrett Michael Bailey and we're quite glad he's made his appearance!!! Mom and baby are doing fine. In fact, Garrett was exercising those very strong lungs quite loudly! Here's his first picture...

Finally Home!
I finally came home yesterday. But still no baby. :( My parents and my youngest brother, Tony, were coming down for a visit and so I rode down with them. If my daughter has the baby before they leave, I'll ride back with them and then fly home a few days later. If not, then we'll have to see how things go...
Meanwhile, we're enjoying ourselves! Mom and Dad haven't been down since 2003 and Tony hasn't had a vacation in many years. Can you believe Mom & Dad are 81 and 88 years old??? I'm SO blessed to still have them around!
So today we went to the beach and had an awesome lunch at Oceans 234. The weather was perfect but the waves were very rough! Not too many people even AT the beach and only about 5 brave souls IN the water!
Here's Dad in his new hat stylin at the patio table at lunchtime...
Tomorrow the plan is to go to one of my favorite places - Butterfly World. Better charge up the camera batteries!!! :) And later we'll go visit Mom's sister and maybe even Elias and Trish. One evening we'll go to the boat launch on Palmetto Park where we'll hopefully see the manatees! And maybe, just maybe I'll be posting with baby pictures soon! It's just a matter of time after all... :)
