Boat and Baxter Updates

Steve is coming right along with his boat building. When we moved into this house almost 9 years ago we had a nice 24 foot above ground pool in the back yard. I loved it! We had to take it down a few years ago because it was rusting out. Thank God we did because a couple of months later Hurricane Wilma hit. We'd have had an awful mess if it had still been there. I've been hoping to put another one back in the yard someday. But unfortunately it won't happen now. Steve has replaced the pool with this boat - also 24 feet long! He's so happy with it tho! And it keeps him from being so bored so I guess it's okay... Anyway, here's a picture from last weekend showing his progress -

And here's another picture from today. Golly he looks like his late father! Must be a good view from up there! ;)

Now for the cute pictures. This is a picture I took of Baxter a couple of days ago. He wanted attention, didn't get as much as he thought he should, got scolded for doing something he shouldn't and went off to pout. What a great pic!!!

Here he is a couple of weeks ago in the back yard. I just LOVE this picture of him on full alert!!

This one I took two days ago. He's finally learning how to play with doggie toys. He was sitting on our bed and we were playing tug of war. I went to get the camera cuz he was so cute and got this one. Just as I was snapping the camera he heard a siren. You can really see the chihuahua in him here!

We had our first real visitors tonight - Heather and Leo and their almost 2 YO son Raul. Baxter was very growly and barking lots at first. But then he found out that food AND petting were involved. That was all it took! He was a goner! Until they got ready to leave and then he freaked out again. Wouldn't leave me or let me get up. Poor guy doesn't want his heaven to end! Can't say I blame him. :)
That's all for now but I'm sure there will be more soon! Only a few more days till my trip!!! I can hardly WAIT!
