Christmas Day 2008

We were alone this Christmas day. Just Steve and I. No dog, no kids, no grandkids. I don't EVER want to do that again! But we made the best of it. I especially enjoyed surprising him with two nice gifts! A nice bottle of Scotch (which I gave him Christmas Eve) and then an MP3 player that will clip to his belt for work. He loves them both! It was rainy and very windy in the morning but started to clear up in the afternoon. So we joined everybody and their brothers and went to the beach for a walk. It was still very windy but beautiful! The water was really cold though. So we sat on a big rock and watched the world go by. I forgot my camera so used my cellphone to take these two pics. Steve tried to take one of me, but it didn't come out.

Then we came home and he took a nap while I scrapped a layout about Thanksgiving day. After he got up we ate the seafood feast I'd purchased at Costco Wednesday. We had tiger prawns, Dungeness crab, King crap and lobster tails! We couldn't even eat the bread or the salad we had to go with it! But we did enjoy a nice Pinot Grigio wine to go with it! See the table cloth with the flip flops on it? The shoes all have holly sprigs and stars on them! Christmas Southern Style! Hehe!

This is the best pic I could get of our lights. I need a tall tripod and need to stand across the street because this is missing our front porch. Oh well!

Then we went for a drive to see the lights. There are some AWESOME multi-million dollar homes nearby so we went to find them. Unfortunately, everyone else had the same idea and there's nowhere to pull over. So I had to take the pictures while Steve still drove. I got a couple of interesting ones though!
Driving down A1A (Ocean Drive) and looking across the Intracoastal Waterway to another house. Notice the sky to the left!

I loved the effect of this one! Not a very good picture tho. Hehe!

Here's some other pretty neighborhood decorations:

Hope you enjoy the rest of your holiday season! And look forward to my AWESOME NEWS in the next blog! I got a very wonderful surprise for Christmas!!!!!
