Sugar Sand, Book and Cake Day!

Yep. You read it right. After sleeping until almost NOON today Molly asked if I could take her back to the park Grampa had taken her to the other day. So we got ready and off we went to Sugar Sand Park. I wish we had known about this park a long time ago!!!! There's a HUGE wooden, 3-tiered maze with a big huge head shape you can climb around in. There's a large museum and science display. There's a FREE carousel. And there's lots of picnic tables, ball fields and who knows what all else in there! Noah would've loved the place! So we spent awhile in the 96 degree heat out on the maze. Well, Molly played while I sat and got eaten by the no-see-ums. Here's Molly looking down at me from the top tier.

Then we went into the air conditioned museum. WOW! What a cool place it was! Totally indescribable! But one of the fun things Molly did was balance a ball on a tube that blew air out. I like the look on her face in this one. :)

Then on the way home we went to the thrift store for a used book. We found a book of riddles for 50 cents! What a deal! She enjoyed reading it and sharing it with Grampa when he came home.
When she was done reading we baked a cake! After dinner it was cool enough to decorate it. I only had one can of icing so we had to make do with it. But Molly did all the decorating (with a little bit of help)! Here's the cake she made.

After we got these pictures we added some ice cream to our bowls and enjoyed a piece. Yummy! Molly said it was the second best day she'd ever had! Second only to a day at Epcot and Disney! You can decorate me with pride! :)
