Molly's Here!!!

It's been awhile since Molly came to our house for a visit now that she's in school. But we were able to arrange everyone's schedules and she'll be here until Saturday (unless she gets too homesick before then :) Baxter's totally in love with her too. She's not too sure about him because he gets a bit too wild for her. But they get along great. Good for both of them!
We've had a bit of uncooperative weather so we haven't been able to do very much. (Too hot or too stormy.) So today when it stormed early we knew we wouldn't be able to go to the park again. Instead I pulled out my friend Lucy Chesna's paper flower making tutorial - here's the link - http://scrapperqueen.blogspot.com/2009/01/tutorial-create-your-own-paper-flowers.html and let Molly pick some papers out and we started playing. :) Several times she looked at me and said "Gigi! This is FUN!" I let her use really sharp scissors (under VERY close supervision!) and chalks and Stickles and everything!

Here's the flowers we made and a picture of us holding them. :)

Then she made a fan and decorated it too.

Meanwhile Grampa was outside mowing the lawn and whacking the weeds that I swear grew 2 feet overnight! So Molly and I and Baxter went outside to see what he was up to. She decided she wanted to swing in the hammock so I started to pull it apart for her. We both screamed loudly at the exact same time for the exact same length of time! There was a frog right in the middle of the hammock!!!!! Steve just turned around (he was going out the gate a few feet away from us) and calmly said "Was that a frog?" Molly and I both got a good giggle out of our screaming together and Steve ignoring us. MEN!

Later she got in the hammock and was so cute I just had to run for the camera. As I turned around I saw this bunch of bananas on the tree! They must have been behind the weeds! Neither Steve nor I had seen them before and they were in a place where BOTH of us should have seen them! We've lived in this house since August 2001 and not ONCE has that tree produced anything other than big leaves! So we're excited that maybe we'll have some fresh, ripe bananas soon!

She's been enjoying watching her Disney and Nickelodeon shows in HD too. :) And we've let her have fun on the computer a lot too. Plus Steve took her swimming at the community pool yesterday. So she's having a great time and so are we!
Check back for more pics and stories later! I'm sure we'll have more before the week is done. :)
