Tree-ripened fruit is always the best tasting. But these mangoes from our tree are the most delicious fruit I think I've ever tasted! And I normally don't like mangoes! These pieces all came from ONE piece of fruit! They are juicy like peaches and oranges, and taste like a really good ripe peach - only BETTER! Right now we're only getting about one ripe fruit every day or two. We've got a rope fence around them to slow the thieves down. It seems to be working a bit better. But soon there will be a LOT of fruit coming off this tree and I can't wait to share with my local friends! We're also trying to figure out a way to bring a seed with us to Alaska. We were planning to have a greenhouse, but with a mango tree it would have to be heated. But I just don't know if I can leave and never taste another one of these fruits God has totally blessed us with! As my daughter would say when she was 5 or 6 "Yummy, yummy for my tummy!" Yep. That's it!

Yep, looks totally yummy! :-) Hmm, a mango tree in Alaska... an oxymoron? LOL I think you should definitely try it though!
Amazing that that whole plate of fruit came from one mango! It looks delicious and I'm not that big of a mango fan myself. I'd take more than just one seed, though. It will better the chances that at least one would survive. Good luck with that!
