Playing Catch-Up

Finally things are starting to quiet down here! It's been so crazy lately! Yesterday I spent most of the day making Anniversary Party CDs, writing notes, putting together packages for my family members that wanted photo CDs, copies of photos (internet challenged you know), etc., etc. I got most of them finished. But I'm waiting for the local photographer to make an enlargement for me. We had a huge framed mat made for all the attendees to sign. It has room for two pictures in it and it's gonna be awesome! But to get the size photo I needed for the pictures I had to talk to a local guy I know. And of course, the first time he did it he picked the wrong one to enlarge.
And then there's the embosser who really doesn't like to emboss, but decided she'd take my $40 leather album and try to emboss it anyway. She did an awesome job. Only it's in gold and everything we did for the party and all my pages are silver. I told her in writing that I wanted silver, but she "made a mistake". Can you imagine that she wanted me to take it anyway?! Normally I'm not picky mind you, but this is my parents' 60th wedding anniversary album and I was quite specific. So she had to pay me instead of me paying her. According to the LSS owner where I bought the album, and where she left me the album and the money, she was in tears. I feel bad, but if you're gonna do something like this you've gotta take responsibility for it. Okay. I'm off my soap box now. (Sorry!)
Anyway, I have so many scrappy projects that I need to do/finish. Just need the time to do them. My BFF and I went to the "new" LSS in Lake Worth today. I put new in quotes because a friend of ours bought a store that's been around for many years. I wish the store wasn't 45 minutes away because it's AWESOME!!! Once she updates the website I'll post a link here. It was the first time I'd been up there and thank God I left the credit cards and checkbook at home! I could have bought out the store! Instead I budgeted for $35 and only spent $23! I'm SO proud of myself! And now I have the supplies I need to finish my BFF's birthday present (it's on Friday) and my granddaughter's birthday present (May 4). Hopefully I'll have time to work on them tomorrow! Meanwhile, Happy Scrapping everybody!

So sorry about the album mistake but I am glad she made it right.
