Turtle Soup's January Mini Crop

I have scrapped a few more pages since my last post!  Still fighting the crud (since December 29!) but it's slowly getting better I think.....  Anyway, over the weekend the DT at Turtle Soup posted several challenges for the January Mini Crop.  There's still time to play (until January 26 at midnight EST) if you want to so here's the link - http://www.turtlesoup.scrappingturtle.com/viewforum.php?f=74&sid=573100c48c773db34d515553e5911e20

Materials – Sketch – CTMH; Patterned Papers – Heidi Swapp, My Mind’s Eye; Cardstock – Bazzill, SEI; Stickers – Echo Park, October Afternoon; Snowflake Die Cuts – Unknown; Bling – Queen & Co., Studio 112; Pens – Sharpie, Infinity; Banner - Recollections

Next is a 4 page year in review layout.  This layout covers Karen's collage challenge, Lisa's year in review challenge and Linda's challenge to use a resolution quote.  I used "Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things." ~Robert Brault which is on the third page.  I'm going to have to change the date to 2013 because I got it wrong!  OOPS!  But as you can see it was pretty crazy for our family so it's not hard to think I haven't got a clue what day of the week it is much less what year it is anymore!  LOL!  I used a CTMH sketch for these pages.

Next is a page I created for Debbie's holiday celebration challenge.  I combined it with a challenge from My Scraps & More to create this page about my daughter and her family on Christmas Day in 2011.
I used Kreaxions Punch #905 with Templates A and B to create the photo frame.  I folded down the corner then folded it back.  Since it wasn’t double-sided paper I pieced the PP on the under side that showed and then pieced the black “mats” underneath.
Materials – Cardstock – Bazzill; Patterned Papers – Heidi Swapp; “Family” Chipboard – Theresa Collins; Chipboard, Epoxy Stickers, Border Sticker – October Afternoon;  Brads – My Mind’s Eye; Pen – Sharpie
Next is a page about how I couldn’t come close to decorating my parents’ house the way my Mom did.  Toni challenged us to use at least two elements from her example page.  I pretty much just lifted her whole design!  I used my Kreaxions Circle Cutter to create the big circle pieces.  This also covers a challenge on My Scraps & More to use a large circle as a design element.
And finally is my favorite page of the month so far. It's a picture of my Dad and I on Christmas Day.  It’s one of my all time fav pics!  I fussy cut all the Santas and also the title.  This page covers Charity's challenge to use glitter (there’s glitter all over the page).  It also covers a challenge at My Scraps & More to use a geometric print and an organic print (like the Santas I fussy cut) on one page.  It ALSO covers a challenge at Memorable Seasons to use at least 3 different patterned papers.  There's 4 patterned papers and NO cardstock on this page!
Materials – Papers, Banner – Heidi Swapp; Enamel Brads – My Mind’s Eye; Chipboard Elements – October Afternoon; Stickles – Ranger; Glitter Pearls – Queen & Co.; Metallic Reindeer – Recollections; Pen - Sharpie

I've had fun creating these pages and I'm looking forward to creating more this month!  Happy Scrapping and Happy Punching!
