I fell asleep on the couch watching the late Olympics last night and apparently slept so well that I didn't wake up until I heard the news reporter saying "Steve Gass was arrested this morning for bank robbery..." I sat up and said "WHAT?!" Then I thought "I must have been dreaming..." The next thing I know I hear the live news reporter saying "Yes, Steve Gass was arrested this morning for one bank robbery and is suspected of several others in Palm Beach, Broward and Miami Dade counties..." It wasn't until I saw the photo of the arrested man that it finally sunk in! This is NOT a dream and my husband is NOT a bank robber!!! Go figure!!!
So I called my Mom and Dad to tell them the funny story about the bank robber being named Steve Gass and my Mom says "Are you SURE it wasn't Steve?!" :shock: I think she was so shocked by the whole idea that she couldn't believe it! Tooo toooo funny!!! Everyone on Facebook is getting a real laugh out of it too. Can't wait to hear what his sons have to say. They are 4 hours behind us and worked all day so they hadn't been on yet. My daughter was shocked as well, but got a good laugh out of it too. Funny thing is that when we were dating I actually called America's Most Wanted on Steve because of a story they told of a guy named Steve from Ketchikan, Alaska who had killed a bunch of people on a fishing boat! I told Mom and Michele that at least I was moving DOWN from murderer to bank robber! Hehe! I mean come ON now! What are the odds? REALLY now!
Now this could become a serious matter for my husband because he has to show his ID often to get into these gated communities to do his job. And if someone has seen the report and recognizes the name they might get him confused with the other guy! And what if someone pulls the wrong credit report??? I mean this could be bad! But for the time being it's a very weird and funny thing and totally worthy of being blogged about!
